Well, my flu or head cold or whatever it was is gone now; which is always a plus. Now I've got a longjournal is long to post, so be prepared to sit here a while.

Firstly, the one good thing that's happened lately; I got my FFCC pins in the mail today. They come with cool little descriptions of the four tribes; and I'm keeping them sealed up til I get a good case for them.

Now, the shit begins. Where to begin?

We'll start with this, first. Basically, Mom just lost the one job she did have since yet again, the assholes had to cut back and follow the "last hired first fired" policy. I've been helping out an old lady on the weekends with mowing the lawn and stuff; but she's having money problems and doesn't know when she can pay me next. Not wanting to be an asshole to a frail old lady; I gave her a break and said don't worry about it until she comes into a lot of money. So now I've got to rely on Christmas money to send out Chrissi's present, which probably won't be on time. Sorry, Honey >:

Speaking of presents; the only one I'm getting this year is from my Grandma; which will likely be $20 or less seeing as she's not doing too well either. Mom can barely afford the rent and the bills from what little she had saved up; and (hahahaha) Dad claims his car broke down and he can't send anything cause he has to have repairs. I find it funny that he can afford to take his new girlfriends (Yes, plural. He apparently sees nothing wrong with dating multiple people as long as they don't find out about one another; which makes me hate him even more.) out on dates; but he can't afford to send a Christmas present to his only child. All of our Christmas lights blew out and we can't afford new ones; so we don't even have lights for the tree or house this year; and there's no snow, no cold or even cool weather, no nothing that would even remotely make it seem like Christmas. My santa hat ripped and my Christmas light necklace broke, too. I'm having a reaaal great time with this, can you tell?

Now for school stuff. It's boring as hell and becoming needlessly complicated; but at the same time I'm getting a break from it. I only have to finish Algebra and Chemistry and Spanish to the halfway point; which I'm nearly at. The rest I've got to finish fully; more on that later.

The only good side to this, is that we're out of here in January. There's a program that gives people $1,000+ to get out of Florida, and we're taking the opportunity and heading up to Blacksburg ASAP. If I can finish English and History by then, which I can easily; then I can finish Algebra and Chemistry up there; start German, and start Robotics and something else. So, there is a light at the end of the tunnel; it's just going to be a long, dark, and depressing tunnel to walk through. I just can't wait for all this shit to be over... Blacksburg's got a lot of jobs and Mom's already got four interviews lined up; might even be able to get hired before we even get there. There's a lot of places looking for teenagers to work afterschool, so I can get a job pretty quickly too. I can only hope and pray everything works out as it looks like it's going to; but we all know that Lady Luck seems to like kicking the hell out of me when I'm down.
